The Yardbirds are an English rock band, notable for starting the careers of three of rock’s more famous guitarists: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, all of whom were in the top fifteen of Rolling Stones’ 100 Top Guitarists list.
This was designed by HAMISH GRIMES, who also took many of the Giorgio Gomelsky camp groups publicity photos. He hand designed all the ads for gigs that went into magazines and newspapers, as well as the graphcs on the Yardbirds albums. He also took the money on the door of the Crawdaddy clubs in the back of a Croydon pub ( with Julie Driscoll!!) and the Crawddy Rishmond. He is also the voice of introduction on the album, FIVE LIVE YARDBIRDS, recorded in March 1964 at the Marquee in London.
